At Bayfields, we take our time to understand your concerns, existing issues, and what you need to make every day easier. Our 45 minute eye tests are a little longer than you might expect, but they're absolutely crucial to keeping you, and your sight, in great shape.

What a superb service, welcoming, unpressurized, time to make the best decisions. All the latest diagnostic kit. Kelly the opthalmologist gave sound empathetic guidance to the best solutions. In all a real contrast to the the sense of being impersonally processed at the major high street chains, and still at a reasonable price.
Can always get a convenient appointment and the front desk staff and consultants are always friendly and knowledgeable. Booking an appointment online is easy through their website and they keep you informed with email reminders. Great choice of frames and plenty of help and advise when choosing them. Would highly recommend.
Bayfields provide a professional, but caring service, from friendly and considerate staff. The optometrist I saw, Mr Patel, was efficient, reassuring and very helpful. Bayfields have the latest equipment for checking your eyesight, similar to what you would find in an eye hospital, and even give a copy of your prescription without being asked. There is no pressure selling, just excellent service from a professional team. I was very impressed and I'm happy to recommend them.
Mr Patel, the optician who tested my eyes, was very thorough and knowledgeable and is someone who inspires confidence. Good help was given with the choice of glasses. All the staff were pleasant and polite. Overall, a very positive experience.
Having been disappointed by the service of another optician, we decided to go to Bayfields at Cottam & Glaister. From making the appointment to getting new glasses the service was incredible. The care and time spent making sure the prescription was correct was very reassuring and the fitting of the new glasses was done with great professionalism. I have no hesitation in recommending this Optician. Such a brilliant service and end product.
