Local people have been cared for at this practice for over100 years, where generations have benefitted from our eye tests and eye care, and have been helped to see better, feel more confident and get more out of life. We joined the Bayfields family in 2020, although we’ll be holding onto the Charnley’s name for a while.

Bayfields Opticians has been caring for the community since 2020, taking over from Charnley Opticians who cared for the Leamington Spa practice for over 100 years, providing expert eye care and eye tests. In Summer of 2020 the Bayfields team also welcomed clients from Gohil + Grey.
Our own in-house lab
Having a lab on-site means we have a specialist technician who will order and fit glasses and carry out adjustments and repairs – which makes things faster and more thorough for you. Bring us your glasses for repairs or adjustments and we might even be able to do it while you wait!
What about your hearing?
We’re introducing the Bayfields audiology service in 2020. That means FREE hearing tests, FREE trials of hearing solutions, your choice of a wide range of sophisticated and discreet hearing aids, and microsuction for safe ear wax removal. So whether you already know you have problems with your hearing or were just wondering, talk to us.

Very friendly and knowledgeable. They took time to explain the results of my eye test. When I needed new glasses at an earlier visit, they had a great range to choose from of both frames and lenses.
We have been using this opticians for years and the experience is always incredibly professional and this time in particular when both the optician and practice manager Colin took time to assist with prescription lenses and options as well as being super helpful and kind when my daughter felt unwell. The attitude was lovely and makes the whole experience so much better.
