Expert eye care for you and your family

Established over 20 years ago, the practice is situated in a beautiful listed building in the heart of Clitheroe, next to the historic castle.

At Bayfields Clitheroe you can expect a warm, friendly welcome from our team. Before every appointment you will be given the opportunity to browse our frame selection and discuss any of your requirements.

Bayfields Opticians and Audiologists Clitheroe

For over 20 years, we've built a reputation as the independent practice of choice in Clitheroe, providing you with the highest standards of professional eye care, together with a friendly service and a commitment to quality.

Thorough eye tests

Our  are so extensive, they last 45 minutes. This means we can see how much your vision has changed since your last eye test and get a picture of your overall eye health. We also offer retinal imaging so we can check all the layers in your retina.

What about your hearing?

We run an audiology clinic every Wednesday and Friday. So whether you know you have problems with your hearing or were just wondering, why not ask for a free hearing test appointment with us?

Sudden eye problems?

If you develop a small eye injury, flashing lights or a floater, irritated eyes, blurry vision, cysts or styes, we participate in the local Minor Eye Conditions Service (MECS). As long as you’re registered with a local GP, you can come into the practice and we’ll do our best to see you right away, whether that is for an eye test or speciailist eye care.

How to find us

We’re at the Castle end of Castle Street, in the centre of Clitheroe. You’ll find us a couple of doors down from Boots – look out for our distinctive purple and white building. There’s a large pay & display car park around the corner, called Market Car Park.
