Bayfields Opticians & Audiologists have an exciting opportunity for an experienced full time People Assistant to join our team based at our Head Office in Esholt for 40 hours per week.  This is a hybrid role, 9am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday (3 days office based / 2 days home based) where you will be responsible for supporting our People Department with all administrative tasks and queries so you must currently be working within a similar role.

When you join Bayfields Opticians and Audiologists as our People Assistant, you are joining an independent business. Although we are national, we are not a huge chain which means we understand the importance of local relationships and the power of choice. We aim to deliver obsessively great service to each and every one of our clients which is at the core of what we do.

Due to the nature of this role, we want somebody who is currently working within a People / HR team as a People Assistant and is confident and enthusiastic with good attention to detail.  You will deal with all our payroll queries, collating all payroll data and managing our Payroll bureau, your responsibilities will also include logging all people queries and activities on our HR dashboard and providing reports or HR metrics as and when needed for the team. 

To be successful in this role, you will be an excellent communicator, computer literate with a good understanding of Microsoft packages (especially Excel) with strong experience of payroll administration and HR systems. Due to the location of our Head Office, you do need to be a car driver.
