When you visit our Net Zero practices or make a glasses purchase we take responsibility for the carbon cost of your travel and the carbon cost of your glasses.

Recycle your glasses, contact lenses and hearing aids
It can be hard to know what to do with those old pairs of glasses, or contact lenses that can't be recycled at home. Which is why we've made it easier than ever to do it the best way:
Terracycle contact lens recycling is available in every Bayfields practice, reducing waste and environmental impact, by recycling the packaging and the lenses.
Our Recycline programme transforms your old glasses into new products, saving them from landfill.
In partnership with Chichester Lions Club, we send glasses and hearing aids that you don't need anymore to be reused by Medico France as well as eye clinics in Papua New Guinea, Sri Lanka, Ghana, Nigeria and Nepal.
Plastic-Neutral Contact Lenses
We've partnered with CooperVision who work with Plastic Bank to fight against ocean plastic through their Certified Plastic Neutral programme. Our contributions sponsor the collection of plastic waste around the world, offsetting anything we need to use for our daily contact lenses and their packaging.

A key part of our Net Zero Carbon commitment is supporting verified carbon offsetting projects. These projects not only help us balance our emissions but also contribute to sustainable development and environmental conservation globally.

As our business continues to grow, Net Zero status will be achieved within 6 months of operation.
